Mindfulness Meditation For Children
Being mindful or the practice of mindful meditation is simply observing the mind bringing the attention directly to the present moment experience.
Mindfulness encompasses all activities including ordinary actions such as eating, walking and breathing. We will practice mindfulness of emotions and the interconnection of emotions, mind and body. The practices we will be doing are multisensory, incorporating movement, breathing, relaxation, listening to stories and music, and eating.
Our goal today is learning, observing, controlling and releasing feelings. I will introduce practices as taught by Betsy Rose, Thich Nhat Hanh, Christopher Willard and Eline Snel.
